Social Skills Group

Our structured social skills groups help children develop meaningful relationships and essential communication skills in a supportive, inclusive setting.

At Elevated Abilities, we offer structured social skills groups designed to support children in developing essential social and communication skills. Our programs are tailored to meet the diverse needs of children at different developmental stages, ensuring that each participant receives the right level of support and guidance. With a focus on creating a positive and inclusive environment, our groups use evidence-based strategies to help children build confidence, form friendships, and navigate social interactions.

Our social skills groups are run under the direction of experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Psychologists, supported by our dedicated Elevated Abilities aides and staff. This collaborative approach ensures that each child receives individualized attention and expert guidance throughout the program.
We offer three levels of social skills groups, each focusing on specific areas of social development:

Each program runs for 12 weeks, providing consistent support and opportunities for practice and growth. Our skilled staff use a variety of teaching methods, including role-playing, video modeling, and positive reinforcement, to ensure that children feel comfortable and successful in their social development journey.
Flexible Age Ranges: While the age ranges are provided as a guideline, we recognize that each child’s abilities and needs are unique. We are flexible with ages to ensure that children are placed in the group that best fits their developmental stage.
The cost of our program is $1100.00 for the 12-week program. Direct billing is available for clients with current and active FSCD contracts. Upon approval, FSCD may cover $900.00, and parents will be responsible for the remaining $200.00. The parent portion will not be billed all at once but will be divided into four installments, billed per session where the clinician is present. This portion may also be eligible for billing through the family’s private insurance. If there is no FSCD contract, then the family will be responsible for paying the entire amount.

Potential clients are required to attend one of the following observation sessions. This is to ensure that each child is assigned to the most appropriate group. If your family has available respite hours, we appreciate using them for the observation night; however, participation does not require this.

The observation days are:
