Registered Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Registered Psychologist to join our clinical team. In this position, the successful candidate will provide counseling and behavioural consultation, conduct assessments, and supervise our provisional psychologists and practicum students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour intervention plans that address client-specific needs and goals using evidence-based strategies.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for referrals and diagnosis.
  • Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to plan and carry out programs.
  • Enable and support learning for the client and family members in our facility, client’s home, and community.
  • Maintain and manage a caseload.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal, agency, and CAP standards.
  • Supervise Provisional Psychologists and Practicum Students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or related field and current registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Registered Psychologist and in compliance with the supervisor requirements set out by the College of Alberta Psychologists.
  • Experience with behaviour consultation and programming.
  • Experience with completing assessments such as ADOS, WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, BASC-3, Bayley-4, Vineland.
  • Be comfortable with working independently and within a team.
  • Available for after school sessions with families, clients and team members.
  • Experience working with FSCD would be considered an asset.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to drive to clients’ homes within Calgary city limits.
