October Respite Groups

Dear Elevated Abilities Respite Community,

We hope this newsletter finds you well as we dive into the beautiful month of October. As we step into the colourful season of October, we are excited to share some important updates and upcoming events at Elevated Abilities Respite.

Updates:

  • We are moving the booking cutoff for Respite to Thursday at 9:00 AM. This adjustment will help us better organize and prepare for our weekend activities. Please note that if you find yourself needing respite after the booking cut-off, don't hesitate to reach out to our coordinator via email at sconley@elevatedabilities.ca. They will do their best to accommodate your request.

  • Get ready for a spooktacular treat this Halloween season! We are thrilled to announce that we will be creating a sensory-friendly trick-or-treat environment right here at our office. This event promises to be a memorable experience for our community members, and we have more details coming your way soon. Stay tuned for this exciting event announcement, and get ready to embrace the Halloween spirit with us!

📅 October Events:

🦃 October 7th - Turkey Painting

Join us for a feathered fiesta! We'll be unleashing our inner artists as we paint colourful turkeys. Get ready to express yourself through art and create your own vibrant turkey masterpiece.

🕷 October 14th - Paper Plate Spiders

Prepare for a web-tastic time by crafting creepy-crawly paper plate spiders. This craft activity allows participants to explore their artistic skills while creating cute and not-so-spooky spiders for Halloween.

🧹 October 21st - Witches Broomstick Making

We’re going to conjure up some creativity by making our very own witches' broomsticks. This craft is not just fun but also great for fine motor skills development.

👻 October 28th - Halloween Party

The grand finale of our October activities is our Halloween Party on October 28th! It's a spooktacular day filled with slime, sensory bins and dessert making! Come in your costume and show us your best boo walk.

We can't wait to celebrate this wonderful month with you. Remember to check our website and social media pages for more updates and announcements. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for any of our events, please feel free to contact the Respite Coordinator. Thank you for choosing Elevated Abilities for your respite needs.

Stay Elevated,

The Elevated Abilities Team
