Job Summary:

We are seeking a Behaviour Consultant to join our team.

As a Behaviour Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, and providing support and training to families and caregivers of children with developmental and behavioural challenges. Your primary goal will be to help children achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children’s behaviour and developmental needs to determine their intervention needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans that address children’s specific needs and goals, using evidence-based practice.
  • Provide behavioural support and training to families and caregivers of children, including parent training, behavior management strategies, and positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement interventions that support children’s development and participation in daily activities.
  • Document children’s progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate families and caregivers on how to manage children’s behaviour and promote their independence.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, Applied Behaviour Analysis,).
  • Registration or In Pursuit of Registration with the appropriate college (CAP or BACB).
  • Clinical Experience with children with complex needs would be an asset
  • Experience working with FSCD would be an asset
  • Experience with supporting families in the areas of Behaviours, Toileting, Play and Social Skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Reliable Vehicle and Valid Driver’s License.
