Structured Literacy Intervention Program
An evidence-based, individualized reading program using the Orton-Gillingham approach to help elementary students build strong, confident literacy skills.
We are excited to launch our Structured Literacy Intervention Program, designed to give (elementary) students the tools they need to become confident, capable readers. Unlike traditional tutoring or homework help, this program provides 1:1 reading instruction only, focused entirely on strengthening the foundational, underlying skills that contribute to successful reading. Each lesson is individually tailored to a child’s areas of strength and weakness, ensuring instruction is targeted, effective, and engaging.
Why Structured Literacy?
Our staff are trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, one of the most widely respected, evidence-based methods for teaching reading, as well as other evidence-based, multi-sensory methods proven to support struggling readers, including those with dyslexia. Instruction is systematic and explicit, building skills step by step in phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Why Two Sessions Per Week?
Research shows that consistent, frequent instruction is essential for building lasting literacy skills. Attending at least two sessions per week provides the intensity needed for children to make real gains, rather than simply maintaining where they are. This program reflects our commitment to providing high-quality supports for families in our community for every stage and season.
