Behaviour Consultant
Whitney is a Behaviour Consultant with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Northern British Columbia and her Master's in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is currently a Certified Canadian Counsellor and is working to become a Registered Psychologist.
Whitney integrates therapeutic modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Strength-Based interventions into her work with the families and children at Elevated Abilities. Whitney believes that using teamwork and collaboration, respect, unconditional positive regard and cultural humility fosters positive change. Whitney has experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis in home and school settings, which informs her approach to developing and implementing behavioural strategies with the families she serves. She is committed to having these interventions be informed by the latest research in applied behaviour analysis, and be evidence-based and effective. Outside of her professional pursuits, Whitney enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, reading and travelling.
