Mary Mackie MScOT, Reg. OT (AB)

Mary Mackie is a newly graduated student with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Western University in London, Ontario. With an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a Research Thesis-based Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Calgary, Mary has been able to apply her functional and psychosocial knowledge of the human body with evidence-informed practices, and apply it with an occupational therapy lens when working with children of all abilities. 

Mary has experience with children, adults, and older adults through volunteering, placement, and work opportunities over the last 10 years with individuals of various physical and developmental abilities. Mary is passionate about being able to support children pursue activities of daily living in their own homes and communities, and importantly with their loved ones around. Through implementing an occupational therapy perspective, Mary is a strong advocate for collaborating with families to support the individual needs that each child brings to our community.

In her spare time, Mary loves grabbing coffee and almond croissants, and spending quality time around Calgary or travelling with loved ones.
